Job Summary This position provides confidential administrative assistance to the Public Information Officer and Communications Coordinator, and the Benton County Strategic Communications Program. The primary responsibilities are developing and maintaining public information products and lists, answering inquiries, and attending and scheduling meetings.
This is a temporary position not to exceed 1040 hours in a fiscal year. (July 1st - June 30th)
This is a 0.3 FTE position. Approximately 15 hours per week.
Hybrid work option available: The responsibilities of this position are such that the successful candidate may be able to perform some assignments remotely; however, a fully remote work environment is not an option. The initial training period may require a period of on-site presence to gain understanding of job expectation and responsibilities.

Minimum Qualifications
The following minimum qualifications are required for this position:
- At least one year of education or technical training beyond high school; AND
- 4 years of administrative experience, including office support duties, reception, clerical functions or related experience.

The Ideal Candidate:
- Extensive experience with using a variety of software products, particularly those in the Microsoft Suite – Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Proficient at supporting large group/stakeholder meetings - in person or virtual.
- Experience with website management and ability to effectively post and organize material in a professional manner.
- Good skills in business writing and report preparation methods.
- Communicate clearly verbally and in writing.
- Demonstrate a high attention to detail.

You will be evaluating our network's performance, collaborating with our IT team to increase network capacity, and overseeing network security. Summary of Key Job Responsibilities:<\u002Fb><\u002Fp>\n \n - Determining company needs and coordinating the development and maintenance of network infrastructures with the IT team.<\u002Fli>\n
- Ensuring secure and stable server connectivity and testing network protocols.<\u002Fli>\n
- Creating internet domains and optimizing intranet performance.<\u002Fli>\n
- Testing data exchange and communication between computers, routers, modems, and servers.<\u002Fli>\n
- Installing, updating, and configuring end-user networking accessories.<\u002Fli>\n
- Monitoring server capacity and performance to keep up with demand in online traffic.<\u002Fli>\n
- Running diagnostic tests and performing repairs, as well as developing backup, archiving, and data retrieval procedures.<\u002Fli>\n
- Training junior IT staff, preparing user manuals, and providing remote or onsite technical support.<\u002Fli>\n
- Enhancing network security, as well as documenting network processes and cabling layouts.<\u002Fli>\n
- Keeping informed of developments in network technologies and infrastructure. Responsible to meet or exceed all goals and key performance indicators (KPIs).<\u002Fli>\n
