The Billing Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the billing process at Blue Science. In addition to managing billing operations, this leadership role will require the management of approximately 5 employees who make up the billing team. The ideal candidate has high energy, is a strong communicator, excels at utilizing Excel, is a quick learner, and has previously managed a team.
This position will be in the office at our headquarters, located in The Colony, TX.
Job Description
· Manage the billing process.
· Manage a team of approximately 5 employees.
· Provide on-time accurate billing for 10,000 customer accounts.
· Maintain billing best practices.
· Responsible for ensuring deadlines for billing are met consistently each month.
· Perform routine and complex audits, to identify issues negatively impacting revenue.
· Collaborate with team members and management teams to drive root cause resolution for highly problematic issues and data.
· Proactively review processes and procedures to identify gaps and recommend changes and improvements.
· Effectively communicate and share reconciliation results with internal partners and customers as applicable.
· Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills / Abilities
· Proficient in Microsoft Office programs. Intermediate-level proficiency with analytics tools, such as Excel.
· Proven analytical abilities, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
· Ability to prioritize, organize and manage deadlines.
· Excellent verbal and customer service skills.
· Must be a self-starter and able to handle a fast-paced environment.
Education and Experience
· High school diploma / GED
· 3 + years of billing experience
· 2 + years management experience

· Salary: $60,000 - $70,000 (depending on experience)
