Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices PenFed Realty (PenFed Realty), a wholly owned subsidiary of PenFed Credit Union (PenFed), is hiring a Communications and Digital Marketing Specialist in Southlake Texas. The primary purpose of this position is to craft company communications (internal and external) and manage the digital channels and platforms (social media, websites, e-communications) for Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices PenFed Realty Texas, as well as assist with the operations, processes, and infrastructure of the PenFed Realty Texas Marketing Department. This includes the strategy, design, and creation of lead generating digital marketing content, as well as copywriting, assisting in graphic design, managing the department's tools, day-to-day strategic marketing support to our company and our customers (Real Estate Agents), and other projects and programs as assigned.

  • Collaborate with other teams to identify the public voice of the brand.
  • Create style guides and brand voice outlines for all public relations, marketing, advertising, and other vital departments.
  • Consult with executive management to develop effective communication procedures and policies for various situations or crises.
  • Perform communications research and monitor the progress of various communications strategies.
  • Develop and implement an annual digital marketing and communications strategy.
  • Write all company communications (consumer, client, internal facing).
  • Determine what content and message will reach customers.
  • Develop projects to create content.
  • Implement email marketing campaigns.
  • Oversee the management of the master editorial and content calendar for all communications, social media, and digital properties.
Social and Digital Media
  • Monitor/manage Company Social Media Channels & Intranet.
  • Collaborate with Executive Leadership alongside the marketing team to create and implement unique and effective social media advertising, Google AdWords, and digital display ad platforms for consumer brand awareness, recruiting and lead generation.
  • Build and manage programs and campaigns in support of marketing objectives and other business initiatives, including print, email, social media, and digital advertising campaigns.
  • Craft, create, and publish relevant, original, high-quality lead generating content for company and clients across social platforms.
  • Regularly measure, analyze, and report on the performance and effectiveness of the company's campaigns, activities, and digital assets, including websites, social media, search, email, print, events, and others - use these findings to improve future performance.
  • Maintain accurate contact lists (adding/deleting/tagging contacts) for use in email, social media and other digital platforms and campaigns.
  • Collaborate with other key stakeholders to ensure digital marketing strategy and implementation is executed along all proper channels; plan for future changes and optimization.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Marketing to define and implement innovative solutions for the company direction, visuals, and user experience, and produce a variety of effective high quality visual media projects.
  • Provide daily concierge-level customer service to our clients (Real Estate Agents) helping them identify their marketing needs, craft strategic marketing plans, and helping them successfully execute by coaching and connecting them to our tools and resources.
  • Develop an understanding and promote the value and application of our resources, tools, and programs to our customers, both generally and in response to their specific marketing needs.
  • Assist, troubleshoot and strategize with customers via phone, Help Desk, & email.
  • Create unique digital designs and graphics to be utilized by Agents and the Company.
  • Assist in the design of other marketing projects - including, but not limited to brochures, flyers, newsletters, signage, print advertisements, white papers, publications, infographics, presentations, and promotional products.
  • Prepare marketing and recruiting strategies alongside other employees and senior company leadership.
  • Work with marketing peers and leadership to establish consistent content themes and messaging throughout departments.
  • Brainstorm new and creative growth strategies.
  • Review others' work to ensure high quality.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Equivalent combination of education and experience is considered.

  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills; copy-editing/social media copywriting
  • A minimum of three (3) years' experience in a digital marketing or advertising position
  • In-depth knowledge of best writing and messaging practices for business correspondence, public relations, advertising, marketing and sales copy and social media
  • Highly creative with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite - Word, PowerPoint, & Excel
  • Proficiency in design software/tools (e.g., Canva or Adobe Creative Suite)
  • In-depth knowledge of various social media platforms, best practices, and website analytics
  • Preferred experience in development and execution of Google ad campaigns
  • Skilled communicator with great interpersonal skills, building and managing relationships
  • Ability to effectively engage with team members of all levels and across departments
  • Up to date with the latest trends and best practices in digital marketing, social media, online marketing, lead generation and measurement
  • Great project management skills, including time management, goal setting, multitasking and prioritization
  • Forward-thinking and team-oriented with the ability to educate and train others in use of technology
  • Extensive experience in taking solutions from idea to implementation
  • Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced, fluid environment, meeting tight deadlines and high expectations
  • Familiarity with real estate and its terminology is a plus
Supervisory Responsibility
  • This position will not directly supervise employees.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to an indoor office setting with moderate noise.
