Job description

webCemeteries provides software and related services to help cemeteries improve business processes and family interactions through technology and is looking for a qualified Data Entry Specialist. The Data Entry Specialist will review, interpret and enter data from various cemetery-related source documents into an online data entry application or directly into webCemeteries’ database for storage and data management purposes. This position reports to the Digital Project Manager. The Data Entry Specialist must also be willing to contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related projects as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities

The qualified candidate will:

Demonstrate and promote professional relationships with Team Members and Clients

Analyze and enter data from source documents (scans, photographs, etc.) utilizing’s data entry application

Transcribe information into the required electronic format

Check completed work for accuracy

Follow the rules and instructions as specified for each individual project

Responsibly manage time and workload to complete assigned tasks on target

Skills and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent

Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Word) or GSuite Tools and other Windows software

  • Accurate keyboard skills
  • Demonstrated typing speed of 65WPM or more

Comprehensive knowledge of the English language, common name spellings, strong grammar, and punctuation skills

Problem-solving skills

Detail oriented

Critical thinking

Effective communication skills

  • Confidentiality

Ability to work under timelines

Enjoys working in a team environment but can also function independently.

  • A willingness to learn new things.
