Nursing Clinical Outcomes Coordinator
UM Capital Region Medical Center
Reporting to the Director of Professional Practice, the Nursing Clinical Outcomes Coordinator provides structure for nursing quality improvement within UM Capital Region Health, working in close partnership with medical and clinical leaders. Responsible for providing performance and outcomes metrics in support of the Quality and Regulatory work within UM Capital, including dashboards, and relevant reports. Plans and carries out complex cross-functional projects using advanced performance improvement (PI) skills and methods. Works closely with committees and teams as a PI expert coordinating the collection, analysis, review, and reporting of clinical outcomes. Site coordinator for the National Database of Nursing Quality Indicators, ensuring accurate and timely data entry. Facilitates structure of nursing quality teams and patient experience teams, reviewing minutes and ensuring planning leads to improved outcomes that are sustainable. Assists in the advancement of the professional practice environment by communicating the UM Capital nursing strategic direction and focusing on activities that support the nursing strategic direction. Provides nursing involvement support for Shared Governance Day and the NDNQI nursing quality teams including coaching members in their professional participation. Assists with overall clinical governance and other projects as assigned.

What You Need to Be Successful:
Required: Professional Nursing Certification (within one year of appointment date)
Preferred: Professional Nursing Certification
Bachelors of Science in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing.
5 years related work experience
