Title: Product Owner, Data Warehouse

Employment Type: FTE

Location: Remote

Overview of the Role:

The Product Owner, Data Warehouse is responsible for owning specific projects involving our central data repository, cloud repository and supporting operating processes and workflow. The Product Owner works with key business stakeholders to define and convey business needs to the data engineering team. The Product Owner serves as a subject matter expert (SME) for owned products in production and plays a critical role in our ongoing movement to support and improve our platform of centrally available and trusted data used across software, analytics, and other business functions.

Primary Job Duties:

  • Gather, clarify, and document requirements
  • Verify product meets the business needs
  • Ensure enhancements are delivered in a high quality and timely manner
  • Understand and prioritize incoming product requests from a variety of functional areas
  • Track all projects on detailed timelines to meet deadlines and work with the Product Engineering team throughout the product lifecycle including scope definitions, roadmaps, use cases, requirements, user stories, project dependencies and QA.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations
  • Support agile ceremonies including sprint planning, retrospectives, release planning, and sprint reviews
  • Maintain prioritized and groomed product backlog
  • Maintain existing projects, including ensuring products are meeting the agreed upon Service Level Agreement (SLA)
  • Own projects with minimal oversight
  • Support and communicate with Product Operations Team, especially with respect to escalated production support concerns and communication around product releases
  • Maintain project plans, quarterly goal updates and other documentation
  • Product evangelist and subject matter expert of products within their portfolio
  • Support and create user documentation and training materials
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and product evangelist for data components of Privia’s platform - primarily data management and warehousing

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Strong technical skills - not a developer, but is able to investigate technical issues including strong competency in SQL and other database concepts
  • 2+ years of prior requirements analysis experience, working directly with stakeholders and developers, or 2+ years combined requirements analysis and data engineering, analytics, technical writing, or similar experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Experience working with “Agile” methodologies, tools and practices
  • Willing and able to solve problems without depending on others
  • Able to describe typical sources of healthcare data
  • Must comply with HIPAA rules and regulations
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects independently
  • Demonstrated ability to use technical support and operational data, such as support cases, reports, and ad hoc investigations, to identify, triage, and document the impact, priority, and resolution of a problem.
