POSITION SUMMARY The Recruitment Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day administrative support to the Recruiter, as well as supporting recruitment and Human Resources initiatives and projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE
- Conducts employment related research and assists Recruiter with electronic and other methods of sourcing of qualified candidates.
- Assists Recruiter with customized screening and initial contact of applicants to determine qualification and interest level.
- Refers appropriate candidates to Recruiter and/or hiring supervisor.
- Provides support coordination of recruitment projects and related services to supervisors, hiring managers, Recruiter and others.
- Attends and participates in job fairs, community activities, and other public and departmental recruitment-related events.
- Represents and promotes organization to potential applicants by providing information, responding to questions, and collecting applicant data.
- Handles and prioritizes multiple ranges of recruitment administrative duties.
- Assists with identifying issues affecting recruitment and implementing recruitment activities for continuous processes improvement.
- Initiates all pre-employment screenings for new hires and contract staff.
- Serves as liaison between recruitment and employment coordinator.
- Assists with bi-monthly New Employee Orientation (NEO).
- Serves in the rotation for weekly receptionist coverage (breaks and lunches) for the organization.
- Completes annual Individual Employment Eligibility (IEE) process with blind direct labor employees annually.
- Coordinate direct labor work trials and associated travel logistics for blind/visually impaired candidates.
- Manages special projects and other duties as assigned by the Senior Director, Human Resources.
- Participates in other HR duties as assigned, including, but not limited to: assistance with set up and preparation of employee events, interacting with and supplying information to employees, department heads, and job applicants and new hires.
- Flexibility to perform other duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration or related field preferred; High School Diploma required.
Experience: Four (4) years of professional human resources experience in recruitment and selection related activities or administrative support required.
Knowledge/Skills:
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong attention to detail, low error rates and the ability to work to deadlines.
- Highly proficient with an HRIS system, specifically with an applicant-tracking module.
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite of products i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams.
- Ability to juggle work priorities and demonstrate a sense of urgency.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

- Required to perform activities such as: preparing/analyzing data/figures; viewing a computer screen; reading; inspecting small objects for defects; using measuring devices; and/or assembling parts with close eye contact.
- Required to perform activities such as: operating machinery and/or power tools at or within arm’s reach; performing non-repetitive tasks such as carpentry work or repairing machinery.
- Required to review/inspect own assigned work, the work of others, or facilities or structures.
- Required to operate motor vehicles and/or heavy equipment such as forklifts.
