Position Summary
Return is seeking an experienced Regional Sales Representative in the Agriculture, Lawn & Garden, Horticulture, Soil Media, and Fertilizer industry to join our growing team. The Sales Representative is responsible for ensuring current customers have the right products and services, identifying new markets and customer leads, and pitching prospective customers. The position is based in Stewartville, MN and will cover the Midwest Region (Minnesota, Iowa, and Wisconsin).

Location
Return is located in rural southeastern Minnesota, approximately 15 miles south of Rochester. Position Responsibilities
The Sales Representative is responsible for the activities outlined below. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions.
- Builds and maintains a network of sources from which to identify new sales leads.
- Communicates with customers and leads to identify and understand their product or service needs; identifies and suggests products and services to meet those needs.
- Demonstrates the functions and utility of products or services to customers based on their needs.
- Ensures customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management; resolves any issues that may arise post-sale.
- Maintains communication with existing and previous customers, alerting them of new products, services, and enhancements that may be of interest.
- Maintains detailed reports of sales activities including calls, orders, sales, lost business, and any customer or vendor relationship problems.
- Provides periodic territory sales forecasts.
- Assists Sales Manager with organizational skills, account strategies, territory planning and administrative responsibilities to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction is maintained.
- Develops and increases sales revenue to meet assigned targets.
- Becomes actively involved in a new resellers sales orientation and sales training programs.
- Acts as a resource and knowledgeable expert to customers.
- Assists with the planning of sales exhibits.
- Attends trade shows.
- Participates in education and training conferences on selling and marketing programs.
- Coordinates and assists in leading sales meetings to include site selection and agenda preparation.
- Keeps informed of new products, services and other general information of interest to customers.
- Checks on competitive activity and develops new methods of attaining new accounts.
- Troubleshoots problems regarding products provided.
- Answers questions from customers and handles complaints.
- Regional travel will be required between Minnesota, Iowa, and Wisconsin, as well as for periodic trade shows.
- Performs other job-related duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Required Skills and Abilities
- At least three years of sales experience in lawn and garden, horticulture, soil media, compost and/or fertilizer; five years of experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of all aspects of the sales cycle from prospecting to closing the deal.
- Proficient with Salesforce or other CRM.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, or similar software.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Valid drivers license.
- Good IT and diagnostic skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Excellent sales and negotiation skills.

Education
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Sales, Business, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the Sales Representative may work in outside weather conditions including extreme heat and cold. This role is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals and vibration.
The noise level in the work environment can be moderately loud while in the office/shop, or in the field.
