Position Overview:
We are looking for a Staff Accountant to oversee general accounting operations by controlling and verifying our financial transactions.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain monthly journal entries, ledgers and other accounting records and source documents.
- Support accurate and timely month-end and year-end close process.
- Perform monthly reconciliations.
- Assist in monthly inventory reconciliation.
- Investigate and resolve reconciling items on assigned account reconciliations.
- Prepare documentation and assist with audits.
- Prepare and communicate weekly / monthly reports and Charts.
- Balance Sheet and P&L account analysis.
- Answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.
- Analyze data and understand options by developing Excel spreadsheet reports, verifying information.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3+ years of relevant accounting experience.
- Food industry experience a plus.
- Excellent analytical skills with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong grasp of GAAP accounting and general accounting concepts.
- Strong Excel skills.
