Use the expertise, experience and latest industry intelligence on value chain to optimize existing operations in order to meet or exceed the cost and/or the quality of those of the global marketplace, to enable new capabilities, to execute transition/change plans, to influence ongoing initiatives to adopt best practices & standards, to support enterprise level strategy & integration in order to enhance doctor, client and member value, to improve company profit, Supply Chain Portfolio value offering, and competitive market positioning. Identify, prioritize, plan, and execute data-driven reviews on existing value chain operations to recommend process or procedures to optimize, capability enhancement, automation opportunities, and/or 3rd party solutions in order to achieve cost, quality, and profitability that are at par or above the global marketplace. Apply a mix of engineering and reverse engineering techniques, operational risk awareness, in-depth technical end-to-end understanding of value chain processes, business/financial acumen to craft innovative, effective cost-saving solutions and to implement a system and/or habit of continuous improvement in areas such as but not limited to sourcing/supplier management, costing, manufacturing, assembling, logistics, and customer service.Act as subject matter expert to provide advice & industry insight in the design & the execution of strategic & tactically initiatives, support the development of Enterprise Supply Chain cross-pillar goals & strategies to enhance doctor, member, and client interests via the collaboration with business leaders & VSP Corporate Strategy team. Develop and maintain key qualitative and quantitative metrics to fully map entire value chain processes, targets and to measure concrete contribution toward enterprise strategic goals and success of various strategic & tactical initiatives. Job Specifications Typically has the following skills or abilities: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain or related field or equivalent experience Eight or more years of value chain process re-engineering, industry research, data gathering & analytics, operational problem resolution, change & risk management, financial analysis, project planning & execution, making recommendations, and preparing business cases including cost-benefit analysis Having the following certification is a plus but not required: CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional), CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management), CLTD (Certified in Logistics, Transportation and Distribution), CPIM (Certified in Planning and Inventory Management), CPSD (Certified Professional in Supplier Diversity) and/or other certification related to value chain management Demonstrates strong leadership skills & solid business/financial acumen to regularly exercise independent judgment, successfully navigate complex situations, manage risks / solve issues, arrive at balanced solutions, and drive results & synergy across multiple stakeholders Excellent written and verbal communication, analytical and problem-solving skills #LI-VISIONCARE #LI-REMOTE VSP Vision is an equal opportunity employer and gives consideration for employment to qualified applicants without regard to age, gender, race, color, religion, sex, national origin, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability or protected veteran status.
