Temporary Analyst, Development Operations (Remote) About Room to Read Room to Read is a dynamic non-profit global organization dedicated to creating a world free from illiteracy and gender inequality. Learn more at www.roomtoread.org Position Overview:Room to Read’s Development Operations team, is seeking a Temporary Development Operations Analyst to provide general administrative support to the DevOps Team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is not only interested in supporting our fundraising processes, but also interested in data integrity and Salesforce administration.
This position will be virtual and requires a time commitment of 40 hours a week from October 1, 2022 through end of January 2023. with the potential to be extended or become a permanent position.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Support offline gift processing of checks and bank transfers, review and identify correct coding in Salesforce, and create and issue receipts.
- Support data management of Salesforce database:, monitor Chatter requests including deduping records, updating addresses, emails, relationships, account teams and proposal records, ensuring data quality.
- Support donation page and event registration backend set up in both our Engaging Networks (donation pages, event registration, peer to peer) and our Salesforce instance.
- Collaborate with global team members on projects related to the database, such as data-clean up projects, supporting post-CRM migration needs, etc.
- Respond to donor calls and [email protected] emails related to fundraising and gift acknowledgements utilizing the Email Management Guide and connecting with Global Team members as needed.
- Assist with sending additional copies of tax receipts to donors as requested
- Supporting with Salesforce report customization when needed for global market needs.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment
- Highly organized, strong attention to detail and results oriented
- Strong written and oral communication skills in English with the ability to adjust communication style based on the audience
- Adept at using Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Experience with databases and ability to continually learn new technology, database processes
- Comfort working with numbers and calculations
- Proactive and tenacious troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong work ethic and ability to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines
- Flexibility and a positive attitude
- Legally eligible to work in the United States; no sponsorship provided
- History of dedicated volunteer activity and/or commitment to non-profit organizations
- Previous experience working with relational databases and/or web integration tools
- Previous experience working closely and building relationships with diverse groups of people
- Experience in project management
