The Department of English and Modern Languages at Shepherd University is seeking to fill a position of Visiting Assistant Professor of English, Rhetoric and Composition, with employment beginning in August, 2022, and ending in May, 2023.
In addition to teaching 100-level and upper-level classes in Writing and Rhetoric, the successful candidate will serve as Coordinator of Rhetoric and Composition. Responsibilities of the Coordinator include supervision and assessment of the departmental writing program; the hiring, training, and mentoring of adjuncts and Lecturers; training and mentoring of student writing tutors; and other responsibilities as determined by the Department Chair. The position carries a (reduced) load of three classes per semester.
